O.k., you have defined your scope and drafted up a OHSAS and potent compound safety policy – now what do you do while you’re waiting for feedback on the policy? First off just don’t sit there and wait, start taking an inventory of all your current procedures and regulatory requirements. These can include potent compound classification and categorization procedures, respiratory protection, hazard assessments, engineering controls, personal protective equipment, industrial hygiene, control banding, etc. You got it, then put it down. Oh, by the way, if you haven’t done so already, please put everything in a consistent format
